Research Ethics Committee The Research Ethics Committee (REC) at the Jewish General Hospital, a McGill Affiliated Hospital, reviews all research protocols involving human subjects conducted by hospital staff. The Chair of the REC, Dr. Carolyn Ells, PhD, the Chief of the Research Ethics Office, Ms. Franca Cantini , MScN, and the Chair of the Science Review Committee, Dr. Phyllis Zelkowitz, Ed.D. are available to answer questions and provide educational materials. The Research Ethics Office (REO) is located in pavilion A-925 of the Jewish General Hospital, (514) 340-8222 local 2445. We encourage you to contact us from Monday to Thursday, 7:00AM to 3:30PM and Friday from 7:00AM to 3:00PM.

News and Events November 2012 TUTORIAL IN RESEARCH ETHICS  Launched in 2005, and revised in 2012, this online tutorial was developed specifically for research ethics board (REB) members and support staffs who work in the institutions of the Quebec health and social services network.
